Job Title: Director of Clay County Ambulance Service

Location: Clay County, West Virginia

Position Overview:

Clay County is seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to serve as the Director

of the Clay County Ambulance Service. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing

daily operations, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, managing

personnel, and maintaining high-quality emergency medical services for the residents of

Clay County.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the ambulance service, ensuring eEicient and

eEective emergency response.

• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to enhance service

delivery.

• Supervise, recruit, train, and evaluate EMTs, paramedics, and other staE.

• Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and local regulations governing

emergency medical services.

• Manage budget planning, financial operations, and grant applications to secure

necessary funding.

• Collaborate with local government officials, healthcare providers, and community

organizations.

• Oversee maintenance and procurement of emergency medical equipment and

vehicles.

• Maintain and enhance community engagement and public education initiatives

related to emergency medical services.

• Respond to major emergency situations as needed and provide leadership in crisis

scenarios.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in emergency medical services.

• Current certification as a EMT or higher in the State of WV

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.• Experience with budget management and grant writing preferred.

• Knowledge of local, state, and federal EMS regulations and best practices.

• Ability to work under pressure and make critical decisions in emergency situations.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
